Well I think I am starting to settle down a little. Love the new job and my daughter is here from Phoenix to visit a while. She had kidney stone surgery on both kidneys so she needed to rest and recuperate but my girl in housekeeping is quitting so she is teaching Susan how to clean the rooms quick...She loves it.

Have been on my cross stitch a little so I think I will put a picture on to show this time.

I think I am probably half way through some up in the right hand corner and about half of the bottom. Looking good. I love the little mouse in the shoe up in the left hand corner. Cute.
Been reading all the cross stitch posts and checking blogs and pictures. Want to welcome all you new ones. I know you will enjoy it here and will be helped with just about anything you want to do with a needle.
Forgot who had the lovely new room on the ILCS group that her son built her but it is very very nice and looks so comfortable. Such a lucky momma.

Oh yow got a new great grandson and Savanna has a new little brother. How about him..I have not seen him yet but I plan on it..
Well you know what... I do not have anything else for this time. I am on oxygen now because it is so low and also going to the pain management to take care of back and legs I hope..

BUSY BUSY IS MY LIFESTYLE NOW...

Man have I ever been busy here at my new job of managing a 12 room motel in Truth or Consequences, NM. I was hired to pick it up and get it off the ground and I do believe I am going to make them some money after I think 6 years. I love it and it is a challenge which is what I need to keep this old mind working.

I sure have not had time to do any cross stitching but maybe 300 stitches in 3 months. BUT I am about all moved in, drapes up,blinds up, rugs down on hardwood floor, painting, hanging my cross stitch and being tired at night so not much cross stitching if any. Sometimes I hit my chair and I do believe the old eyes are shut before I get comfortable.

My oldest grandson and the dad of Savannah is going to make me a great granny again and it is a boy so this will be their last child. Sure am glad because granddaughters will be getting started.

My knitting is just laying around too. I started a new dish clothwehen I got over here and still do not have it finished..I have it laying on the table and usually try to do a row or two in the morning during coffee but that that does not always happen either.

Since I am full again....4th night in a row....and I have my no vacancy sign on I am going to try for a few stitches tonight.

So until I get enough stitches to see a big difference I will make you wonder how much I have done. No Picture...... Have been lurking on the boards and checking stitching for others and many there are some pretty things going on....Want to welcome all the new ones, the ones that have returned after a spell like me, prayers to all that are ill or have illness in the family, hugs to all ..and hopefully I will get in an exchange soon. I miss all the action. Was so sorry to read about Rene and thankful that I was lurking and was aware of it. Really miss her posting .. and she was quite the stitcher and starter.LOL Felt like many of you..like we had met and really knew each other. RIP Rene...

I know this is a long one and I am missing out on maybe 2 stitches instead of one. LOL So until the next time..happy stitching to all.

GOT THE GOOD NEWS.... I AM GOING TO BE A GREAT GRANDMOTHER AGAIN. SAVANNAH WILL BE A BIG SISTER.

BEEN A BEAUTIFUL MORNING...FEELS LIKE FALL IN THE AIR AND HOT AIR BALLOONS GOING UP OVER THE LAKE...SAT OUT AND WATCHED THEM LIFT AND DRANK MY COFFEE. WHAT A WAY TO START THE DAY.

ON THE LEFT IS ONE OF THE HOUSESLIPPERS I MADE FOR SAVANNAH...5 INCHES LONG. CHECK OUT THAT LITTLE POM POM. JUST ABSOLUTELY TOO CUTE I TRIED IT ON A LITTLE 2 YEAR OLD GIRL AND FIT JUST FINE...SO INSTEAD OF CROSS STITCH THIS YEAR I WILL BE TAKING SOME KNITTING TO THE FAIR. WISH ME LUCK.

ON THE RIGHT IS MY DADS HIGH CHAIR THAT MY DAUGHTER HAS AND SAVANNAH IS USING IT NOW. SHE IS HAVING TOAST AND CEREAL AT GRANDMAS.THE CHAIR WENT THROUGH MY DAD, ME, MY GIRLS, AND NOW MY GREAT GRAND DAUGHTER IS USING IT AT HER GRANDMAS. JUST TOO PRECIOUS. CINDERELLA IS GOING TO BE THE DEATH OF ME WITH THE METALLIC THREAD. TWO STRANDS OF METALLIC AND ONE THREAD AND LOTS OF THREAD HEAVEN. BUT SHE IS GOING TO BE VERY PRETTY. I AM STILL ON THE WITCH OR FAIRY GODMOTHER?? i DID NOT WANT TO TAKE MY STITCHING OFF OF THE Q-SNAPS SO TOOK PICTURE IN MY LAP AND THE LIGHT FROM THE WINDOW BOTHERED IT A LITTLE IT LOOKS LIKE. I THINK IT WILL BE VERY NICE WHEN DONE IN ABOUT A YEAR AS I AM STILL KNITTING DISHRAGS AND BABY BOOTTEES AND ETC.

FINALLY A STITCHING UPDATE

Finally got a stitching update. I laid Cinderella down when I started knitting this winter but I messed up and had the page done but not the back stitching so had to finish that and started the wing and hat on the witch. Well they are done now and I am ready to move on with the cross stitching and another page. Whewwwwww.L luv the little mouse in the corner in the shoe planter and have somemore in the picture. I will have fun for a little while till the backstitching. I always do it when I finish a page or I would never finish anything.

I am still knitting tho too. Stitch in the day time and knit at night. I find that real easy to enjoy both my hobbies that I love. I am making a pair of slippers for a friend that winters with us and he is retarded but he saw my slippers this winter and really like them. Need to sew them and make the pom pom . Told him to watch the mail and I would knit him a pair for his birthday. Well it is here and I will send them off maybe tomorrow.

Living in New Mexico is wonderful in the winter but oh how the spring winds have been blowing with el nino hanging around. Be glad when it is over. Makes everyone irritable when they cannot get outside. Arghhh. My cacti are really blooming tho, yellow, red, white. I love them.

Guess this is enough for this time. Need to mark some more little squares on my material so I can get started with the cross stitches.LOL Hope everyone is have a great week..stitching and just ordinary life. Till next time...

Newest Great Granddaughter

Well I have another great granddaughter born April 7, 2010 and weighed in at 8lbs 7 ounces. Big girl...so Granny got busy and knit knit knit some boottees, and a couple a blocks she can throw without getting in trouble..will cross stitch her birth announcement. Had so much fun knitting those boottees even made a small pair for her first dolly. I believe that is her daddys hand checking her out. Does that not look like fun.????

I just had another birthday too so I really do feel old now. Had a great day..They had a little party for me last night here at the park. It was nice and had a turtle ice cream cake from Walmart that was to die for. It had caramel, chocolate and vanilla ice cream. OHhhhhh.

Well I must get back to my stitching again... and quit playing with the cute little baby things. I mailed the package to Oklahoma today. I had already sent three little one piece outfits....My stitching sure has been on the back burner but with the basketball playoffs on I will get to stitch in the evenings.....come one SUNS..

Nothing else going in my life at this point just busy busy busy. Will try and get back a little more often than I have been. Later.....

Another update on Savannah....check the videoclip to the left. She is in the Noodle Forest at the childrens museum in Phoenix. Too cute. This was on her play day with mommy and daddy. I think the only noodle forest my kids ever saw was on their dinner plate. LOL They are so fortune in many ways with always something to do with their daughter.
Also I listed my favorite country song with a little boy lipsyncing to it and it is for a good laugh. He is so cute and I do believe he has watched Randy Housers video ....He is too good.Check it out. He is the son of one of Randys band members.

I am still busy knitting dish rags,dish towel toppers, hot pads,slippers, and cross stitching again. Oh and adding stash to Ebay.
I do believe our winter is over and the wind is blowing so spring must be here in New Mexico. Time to start cleaning the RV sites and painting the picnic tables. Thats about all I can do here anymore except listen to the tenants and take the money.
Made an appointment with an eye doc as I am having trouble with my distance vision.

Valentine and other stuff

Well this is the latest on my Great granddaughter. The kids named her their Valentine Princess and I think they are right. So cute. And I guess when you have every toy there is to have you use the laundry basket next. At least she is happy.She has really grown up here lately.

And now for the cross stitching. Got quite a bit done on Sundasy while watching Nascar...400-500 and that is a lot when you have a nasty old cold and just do not feel good. I am working on the metallics now but they donot show up very good. The little mouse really shows up in the shoe in the corner.
Back stitching next...grid some more and then on to stitching the top right. I need to get my butt in gear as I want to put it in the fair in September.

Update about nothing

This update is just because I just finished the cutest pair of knit slippers. It has been many a year since I knit a pair and I really enjoyed it. Of course I got the first pair and SO is getting a pair..said he wanted pom poms but I said NO WAY. LOL I put a pair on eBay also to see what happens. They are so warm and toasty and my feet are always cold.

Going to watch the Super Bowl today and I am going for the Saints. SO takes the Colts all year. We bet $5.00 a gamer all year and then on the SuperBowl we bet whqt ever the person that owes owes. So guess who owes this year....lil ol me. $35.00 quite a nice little pot to win if I can. I COULD NOT PICK A WINNER THIS YEAR IT SEEMED. Oh well alls fair in football and love and war.

Watched the first Nascar race last night of the season. Really excited to see what this year brings. Looks like Jr. is still messin around in the middle of the pack. He better get his booty in gear this year.

Going to have a tailgate party (hotdogs) in the club house for the park. Counted probably 32 people. That is a lot of hot dogs.

January 2010 update

What a year that just ended and now we have a new one beginning. I kind of put my cross stitching away after I finished the sock ornament for the people here in the park and I picked up my crocheting and knitting. All kinds of free patterns on the net so of course I copied 2 0r 3 years worth of patterns. LOL Then I put some of my cross stitch charts on Ebay and will be putting up some more probably this week. My name on there is nmstitchnmama so you can check things out once in a while. The picture below is some of the knit dish/wash cloths I have put together and had a good time doing it. Gave them to different ladies in the park. They love it when I start something new.

Got Cinderella back out of the drawer to cross stitch during the football game last week. Did a few stitches but not enough to take a picture. I just need some more hours in my days or not as much sleep. Of course if I was not on here typing an update I could be knitting. LOL Also found my old slipper instructions for knitting and have one pair made ready to sew together and asnother started. They go really fast too. Will put picture up when they have pom pom and sewed up.

Not much other news...Oh yes have new picture of my great grandson. Is that not the cutest little thing. His grandma took him to the mall and said he wore her out asking questions and touching everything. Just a shoppin away. Hard time getting him out of the Disney store. LOL Just a little payback. A little over two now.

I think there might be a little ornery look on the face.

Oh yow I even found my grandsons graduation swedish weaving afghan in a cubby hole that I have ot had out in a couple of years. Need to get that finished too.

I have the center part done and the diamonds so now I am working on the ends with the pattern and it should be ready for graduation in another year. Twins girls are in a bag waiting for them to graduate. These are a lot of fun to make. Forgot I had started it when I got so hung up on cross stitch. LOL

Well I guess I have been busy this month and justdid not know it. Guess I need to get started around here. There is laundry to do and a trip to wally world in store for today. Ughhhh. Well woke up to the white stuff on the ground ..beautiful but glad I do not live where I would see a foot or so. This is over an inch and the cacti are saying yeah... a drink of water. Seems like only in the la Nina years do we get snow...

I have a 7 pound little pomeranian and I opened the door this morning... she put her brakes on and looked up at me like now what do I do. I laughed and told her to go potty. In disgust and thinking what is this she got down off the porch but she sure did not want to. Those little feet tracks said she was doing some circles. Not using the lawn furniture either.

As bad as I do not like snow it is beautiful and we only see it about every 5 years.SOOO I should not hoaller. It makes the farmers happy, the cacti happy, my lake recreation people happy so all is good. Just had to share with you... But guess what Pat is happy as this will be a great stitching day. Ham and potato soup in the slow cooker and we will all be happy. Win win situation.

Think I am done with my cross stitching for Christmas, cards are out, See all the little stocking ornaments in front of the tree. I made 33 of them to put in their dinner invitations for everyone in the park. It was fun and everyone really enjoyed them. Especially the men that are alone. I still have some baking and candy making to do but still have this week. We will be cooking Christmas dinner for all again this year.
Have not had anytime for Cinderella cross stitching this month at all. Just too busy. I still have a knit dishcloth to finish for the lady that cleans our cloub house and bathrooms. Should be finished tonight as I watch football. Going to cut out some cookies after I get all my updates on these sites finished.
Our weather is holding out beautifully...chilly at night 25-38 and 50-60 highs. Really nice. I decorated in front of my rv so will try and get a picture or two this evening. Nothing fancy but at least I did it.

Now it is time for the latest antic of a 1 year old. Got to love it as I have been there as you all probably were; Mommy just vacumed couch and Savannah is caught eating her Ritz crackers on there...but I do not think she meant to get it dirty. This is the package I received from
Georgena minus some different kinds of hot tea that my SOs daughter clammed onto. Kids know when there are good things. Very nice box to store some items in or threads, a small cross stitch rooster pin, and my lovely sockies. Very nice Georgena and thanks a million times. Oh also some Splenda hazlenut coffee flavoring...Uhmmm good had some this morning.

This picture is my package to my partner but cannot tell you who because I just mailed it. I put ina knitted dish cloth and hot pad, deck of snowmen cards,bookmark kit, a couple of Weeks floss.

and of course the sockies. Had a lot of fun putting it togrther till I started to address package and could ot find email. OOops must have deleted it. But Rene came to the rescue and package is on the way.I think my old age is kicking in.

Just wanted all to know that I am going to be a Great Granny again. My oldest daughters son...not even dry behind the ears yet. 18.. She is so happy tho so I am too.

Got The Old Woman cross stitch out of her bag yesterday as I wanted to take her to Tombstone with me. I am over half way through. So the quicker I get her done I can start Cinderella. I decided to make a cute Christmas stocking a(small) ornament for the residents here in the park. That would be 36 have 4 done. Maybe will get some done as we will be in Tomstone A
rizona for 4 days. He shoots and I do what I want to..guess what I am taking yowwww the old woman and ornament fabric. Decided also to make larger ornaments for kids and grandchildren.

Sierra County Fair

Well gang Cirque des Circles (picture below) won first place blue ribbon in our county fair. I did not take a new picture as it would lookjust like the won from the Southwestern New Mexico State Fair one so did not want to waste my time. Had a good fair year..Working on next soon..Ordered Sandy Ortons Ciderella. Hope she is as pretty as Sleeping Beauty. Oh yes need to wake up the Old woman in the shoe...She should be restded now..Also I am making some ornaments for my daughters families so I need more hours in my days. Yeppers I did it.... entered sleeping Beauty that I finished last year into the fair and got a 1st place blue and then a 2nd in the best of the lot. I am so happy. Also entered Circles and received a 1st place blue. Also received $10.00 from Sleeping Beauty. This week will enter my Circles in the Sierra County Fair here in town. See what it will do.

Well I made it.... 3 1/2 months and it is stitched,all 19, 968 stitches, framed and ready for the Southern New Mexico fair in Las Cruces. We will take it down this afternoon. Kind of excited...I think it looks pretty sharp but I only framed it to take to the fair and to keep it from getting dirty. If I keep it for myself I will do a different frame job on it. I will run down and pick it up and bring it up here to the Sierra County Fair the next week.

Have gone back to working on the Christmas kittens and then I will be getting the Old Woman in the shoe out of her bag. Hope she is rested and does not give me any trouble. LOL

I did not realize I had not written on here for this long. Guess my life is not very interesting. Well the RV park is full and I have been trimming trees and painting picnic tables. This sun really makes em fade so I will give em all a little fresh paint.

Heres the little rug rat. She is 9 months in this picture and was nine months on the 12th of this month. Need some new pictures. She sure is thinking about something. She is also pushing her jumpy seat and walking behind it. Will not be long now.

Well I must get my day started ...the wind is blowing hard today and so that gives me the I do not want to so might get some cross stitching in.

Oh yow I forgot I have started a cowboy Christmas stocking for Derrick the great grandson. It should be cute as he lives in Texas and loves cowboy boots. I ordered some faux fir for the top of it instead of the felt.

He just turned 2 years old this month.

Carries threads floss exchange

Oh the colors I got from Nancy Jaroniewski on the Carries threads are just gorgeous. They are , Tropical Rainstorm,Bluebird,Holly Days,Strawberry Shake,Baby Pink,Showflake,Warm Fuzzy,Fairy Dust, Olde World Red. I surely do not know where she gets her names. Nancy thanks for the exchange...It was fun. Now I am searching for some small charts to use them on.

I am still working very hard on Circles and just about done with my 4th page. I still want to enter it in the fair. We will see.

I am stitching very hard as my SO has gone to Albuquerque to a SASS cowboy shoot and is gone from Wednesday to Saturday so I am really getting a lot done. Just a stitchin.Will show you the progress on Monday after the weekend. This is it for now so...you all have a good stitchy weekend.

Two bookmarks

Well the two bookmarks are in the mail and gone.... She will be happy as she reads alot. Surprised too. Also I am giving away my finish of the Southwest Pottery as a wedding gift this weekend. One of our tenants daughter is getting married tomorrow so she will be getting it as a gift. Now I am out of finishes to giveaway. Must get with the program. This is it.. Now back to circles, my kittens and another small for a giveaway. Hope you all have a nice stitching weekend.

Not lost just misplaced

Well the bookmark was not lost just misplaced. Started to copy a score sheet for the shooting club and wahllllla there it was still in the copy machine from when I copied it to put in my webshots and on here. Just misplaced you guys not lost.......or maybe even a senior moment. Well now my friend gets 2 bookmarks and as she reads alot she can use them. LOL too funny.

Clark family are showing off the 8 month old great granddaughter. She is so tiny and petite. Mommy says I m trying to get out of my crib by pulling up on rails. Also now pulling up to moms nice pretty things sitting around. Time for her to start saying no no do not touch. LOL But maybe if I smile at her she will forgive me. I bet I will try. Until next time have a great day. Oh yes I am still teething...thinking about getting some teeth like great grandma has if mom will let me. Ha Bye

Well I did something stupid I guess. Finished this bookmark for a friend of mine that lived here for 4-5 years but had to return to California. Her birthday is the 26th of this month so did this butterfly bookmark...Got ready to iron the back on and guess what .......it can not be found. Had the iron heating ..card written in..I was moving right along and it would be on time. Tore up this 35 ft. travel trailer...loking for it and it is gone. The onhly thihg I can figure out is I have a stand next to where I stitch and also a trash basket...Could it have fallen in there...Guess we will never know.

SO next step quick order from 123 stitch. Joanne is such a sweetheart and my package was on its way yesterday. Order 1 day and out the next. So I get to do a repeat...do over..LOL Of course that was my last bookmark..and no where to buy them here in town.
Well story over order on its way and I will survive.

I almost have the 3rd page done on Circles but this will set that back a day or two as I will need to get the bookmark in the mail.

Not much going on in my life. This is page 3 and 6 of 6 so I am moving along. Also doing a bookmark for a friends birthday end of this month so I am busy stitching. Actually didnt get much stitching done over weekend as I was taking money, selling ice, and etc. Have started page 2 now. I am working right to left so I dont put my grimmy hands on what I have already done. LOL I am left handed.

The RV park made it through the fourth and there was 150,000 people here at our three lakes but 140,000 of them were here at Elephant Butte. That kind of a crowd makes us the 2nd largest city in the state. I was full and no problems. Glad it is over tho and we are back to being normal.

Also had a beautiful fireworks program. No rain either...We had some nice rains in June but are now having the heat. 98 today.

Oops, had a meeting for the Lodgers Tax board meeting this morning...City Hall just called and I had forgotten but they didnt have a quorum anyway so rescheduled. I like to spend the Citys money. LOL

Well I am getting hungry so guess will fix me some oatmeal and toast for breakfast. Sounds good to me.... Have a great day all and all stitchers keep on stitchin. Adios

Second week on Circles

Finished page one of Circles and started no.2 It sure is fun
stitching on. Do not even get dizzy.LOL
I have been checking finishes on ILCS and new starts and there are some pretty nice projects out there. Good job all.

RV park is still full and a lot of nice people. Other then checking on others nothing much going on in my life.

Savannah started crawling this week so now the fun starts.
She will be all over the house. Mother needs to put a bell around her neck as they have a good sized house.

Allergies are really bothering me and my eyes. Hard to stitch but I am still doing it through the watery eyes.

I apologize for the picture. Not very good but you get the jist.Need to really keep on busting it so I can get it finished to enter into the fair. September is the State Fair.

Stitching on Circles

Had a great weekend stitching, watching Nascar, and just being lazy. Oh and then Lonesome Dove was on so of course that made two late late nights. Made it to 1:15 last night but could not finish it.. I have the CDS so can finish it there. Almost finished the first page of Circles. It sure is bright. Think I will enter this in the County fair. I had started this pattern way back when but it did not maker me happy.

Soooothis one will work two shades of DMC 3844 3845, Might put some gold metallic in tyhe big circles in the middle. Not sure yet. This is being figured out as I go along...

Checked out ILCS this morning and there was a lot of stitching going on this week end. Keepup the good work stitchers.

Had a little rain over the weekend too and monsoon season starts today so maybe...we will get some more without the storms. Jal New Mexico had softball size hail yesterday...not hardball but softball. Thst is big.

Need to get some laundry done so everyone have a great day...

Back from Phoenix

Well what do you think...was my trip worth it. I would say so. This is our four generations and we had a wonderful time. She is of course the sweetest great granddaughter you could have. Just right. Of course grandma would say that.
Also started another chart called Cirques des Cirques by Jody of Ink Circles. Hope to finish it for the fair in October. So all in all we had a great weekend stitchin n playin. Took Savannah her pillow I had made and will start her the birth record probably very shortly.

Trip to Phoenix

Will be making trip to Phoenix this weekend to see my little Great grandaughter. Going to be a fast trip....Just long enough to pinch her so she will know her Great Granny Speers. No I will not do that...I will give hugs and kisses and play with her. I will get some pictures of the 4 generations. I remember when my mother was alive and was in Phoenix for the 4 generation pictures. But she is gone now so will continue the tradition. Stitching on my Meowy Christmas. Will post picture later. Been checking everyones finishes on ILCS groups. Man there are some gorgeous stitchings.
