BACK TO CROSSTITCHING AND SETTLING DOWN.

Well  I think I am starting to settle down a little.  Love the new job and my daughter is here from Phoenix to visit a while.  She had kidney stone surgery on both kidneys so she needed to rest and recuperate but my girl in housekeeping is quitting so she is teaching Susan how to clean the rooms quick...She loves it.

Have been on my cross stitch a little so I think I will put a picture on to show this time.

I think I am probably half way through some up in the right hand corner and about half of the bottom.  Looking good.  I love the little mouse in the shoe up in the left hand corner.  Cute.
Been reading all the cross stitch posts and checking blogs and pictures.  Want to welcome all you new ones.  I know you will enjoy it here and will be helped with just about anything you want to do with a needle.
Forgot who had the lovely new room on the ILCS group that her son built her but it is very very nice and looks so comfortable.  Such a lucky momma.

Oh yow got a new great grandson and Savanna has a new little brother.  How about him..I have not seen him yet but I plan on it..
Well you know what... I do not have anything else for this time.  I am on oxygen now because it is so low and also going to the pain management to take care of back and legs I hope..
Keep the needles smoking on the cross stitch site as there are a lot of SAL's going and BAP going as well. Welcome to the group all you new ones too.  You will surely enjoy.

BUSY BUSY IS MY LIFESTYLE NOW...

Man have I ever been busy here at my new job of managing a 12 room motel in Truth or Consequences, NM.  I was hired to pick it up and get it off the ground and I do believe I am going to make them some money after I think 6 years. I love it and it is a challenge which is what I need to keep this old  mind working.

I sure have not had time to do any cross stitching but maybe 300 stitches in 3 months.  BUT I am about all moved in, drapes up,blinds up, rugs down on hardwood floor, painting, hanging my cross stitch and being tired at night so not much cross stitching if any.  Sometimes I hit my chair and I do believe the old eyes are shut before I get comfortable.

My oldest grandson and the dad of Savannah is going to make me a great granny again and it is a boy so this will be their last child. Sure am glad because granddaughters will be getting started.  

My knitting is just laying around too.  I started a new dish clothwehen I got over here and still do not have it finished..I have it laying on the table and usually try to do a row or two in the morning during coffee but that that does not always happen either.

Since I am full again....4th night in a row....and I have my no vacancy sign on I am going to try for a few stitches tonight. 

So until I get enough stitches to see a big difference I will make you wonder how much I have done. No Picture......  Have been lurking on the boards and checking stitching for others and many there are some pretty things going on....Want to welcome all the new ones, the ones that have returned after a spell like me, prayers to all that are ill or have illness in the family, hugs to all ..and hopefully I will get in an exchange soon. I miss all the action.  Was so sorry to read about Rene and thankful that I was lurking and was aware of it.  Really miss her posting .. and  she was quite the stitcher and starter.LOL Felt like many of you..like we had met and really knew each other.  RIP Rene...

I know this is a long one and I am missing out on maybe 2 stitches instead of one.  LOL  So until the next time..happy stitching to all.

BEEN AWHILE...SINCE I HAVE POSTED

GOT THE GOOD NEWS.... I AM GOING TO BE A GREAT GRANDMOTHER AGAIN. SAVANNAH WILL BE A BIG SISTER.

BEEN A BEAUTIFUL MORNING...FEELS LIKE FALL IN THE AIR AND HOT AIR BALLOONS GOING UP OVER THE LAKE...SAT OUT AND WATCHED THEM LIFT AND DRANK MY COFFEE. WHAT A WAY TO START THE DAY.

ON THE LEFT IS ONE OF THE HOUSESLIPPERS I MADE FOR SAVANNAH...5 INCHES LONG. CHECK OUT THAT LITTLE POM POM. JUST ABSOLUTELY TOO CUTE I TRIED IT ON A LITTLE 2 YEAR OLD GIRL AND FIT JUST FINE...SO INSTEAD OF CROSS STITCH THIS YEAR I WILL BE TAKING SOME KNITTING TO THE FAIR. WISH ME LUCK.

ON THE RIGHT IS MY DADS HIGH CHAIR THAT MY DAUGHTER HAS AND SAVANNAH IS USING IT NOW. SHE IS HAVING TOAST AND CEREAL AT GRANDMAS.THE CHAIR WENT THROUGH MY DAD, ME, MY GIRLS, AND NOW MY GREAT GRAND DAUGHTER IS USING IT AT HER GRANDMAS. JUST TOO PRECIOUS. WE CALL IT THE LIL RED HIGH CHAIR. KEPT IT PAINTED ALL THESE YEARS. I HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH THESE MNEMORIES. SHE ALSO HAS THE CRADLE OF MY DADS THAT SAVASNNAH TOOK A FEW NAPS IN. SUCH NICE MEMORIES TO HAVE.

AND OF COURSE I DID A LITTLE CROSS STITCHING ON THE FAIRY GODMOTHER BUT STILL USING THE MERTALLIC. BE SO GLAD WHEN I AM THROUGH USING THAT THEN I CAN REALLY GO A SCOOTIN.

OH YES HAVE ME ANOTHER JOB AT A 12 UNIT MOTEL HERE 2 DAYS A WEEK IN MANAGEMENT. OWNERS ARE IN PHOENIX. ABSENTEE. REALLY LIKE IT AND GETS ME AWAY FROM HERE. WE ARE FULL SO ALL I DO IS COLLECT MONEY...THE MOTEL NEEDS TO BE JUMP STARTED. HOPE I CAN HELP THEM. GOT MY FIRST CHECK THE OTHER DAY...WAS REALLY FUN..

THIS IS WHY I HAVE NOT POSTED AS I HAVE BEEN BUSY. GOING OUT AND PAINT A CABANA TODAY IN THE PARK THEN WATCH SOME COLLEGE FOOTBALL AND NASCAR THIS EVENING. I AM TELLING YOU LIFE DOES NOT GET MUCH BETTER THAN THIS. SAW THE DOC YESTERDAY WHEN I GOT MY FLU SHOT AND SHE SAID THE OLD TICKER IS SOUNDING GREAT AND MY LUNGS AND BREATHING ARE FINE SO I AM GOOD TO GO. FEEL GREAT TOO.

A SAVANNA FIRST & STITCHING UPDATE

WELL SAVANNAH IS EATING HER FIRST SNOWCONE. DOES NOT LOOK LIKE SHE IS VERY EXCITED BUT GIVE HER A FEW YEARS IN PHOENIX AND SHE WILL LEARN HOW GOOD THE COLD ICE IS. LOL

CINDERELLA IS GOING TO BE THE DEATH OF ME WITH THE METALLIC THREAD. TWO STRANDS OF METALLIC AND ONE THREAD AND LOTS OF THREAD HEAVEN. BUT SHE IS GOING TO BE VERY PRETTY. I AM STILL ON THE WITCH OR FAIRY GODMOTHER?? i DID NOT WANT TO TAKE MY STITCHING OFF OF THE Q-SNAPS SO TOOK PICTURE IN MY LAP AND THE LIGHT FROM THE WINDOW BOTHERED IT A LITTLE IT LOOKS LIKE. I THINK IT WILL BE VERY NICE WHEN DONE IN ABOUT A YEAR AS I AM STILL KNITTING DISHRAGS AND BABY BOOTTEES AND ETC.

GUESS THIS IS IT FOR AN UPDATE...THE RV PARK IS FULL AND THE SUMMER PEOPLE ARE MORE TROUBLE THEN MY WINTER PEOPLE SO NOT A LOT OF ME TIME. I ALSO HAVE BEEN DOING SOME CLEANING AND CURTAIN WASHING AND ETC. UGHHHH SURE DO NEED A MAID.CLEANING GETS IN MY WAY OF KNITTING, STITCHING AND ETC.

HAVE NOT HAD TIME TO GET ON I LOVE CROSS STITCH GROUP EITHER. I DO HAVE THE DIGEST OF EMAILS SO KIND OF KEEP UP WITH NEWBIES, STITCHING UPDATES,BEAUTIFUL PICTURES OF FINISHES, AND JUST GOOD OLD JIBBERING. SO IF YOU DO NOT SEE ME ON THERE MUCH TRUST ME I AM AROUND. SO GLAD YOU STOPPED BY...MAKES ME KNOW THERE ARE STILL STITCHERS AND ETC. OUT THERE.

FINALLY A STITCHING UPDATE

Finally got a stitching update. I laid Cinderella down when I started knitting this winter but I messed up and had the page done but not the back stitching so had to finish that and started the wing and hat on the witch. Well they are done now and I am ready to move on with the cross stitching and another page. Whewwwwww.L luv the little mouse in the corner in the shoe planter and have somemore in the picture. I will have fun for a little while till the backstitching. I always do it when I finish a page or I would never finish anything.

I am still knitting tho too. Stitch in the day time and knit at night. I find that real easy to enjoy both my hobbies that I love. I am making a pair of slippers for a friend that winters with us and he is retarded but he saw my slippers this winter and really like them. Need to sew them and make the pom pom . Told him to watch the mail and I would knit him a pair for his birthday. Well it is here and I will send them off maybe tomorrow.

Living in New Mexico is wonderful in the winter but oh how the spring winds have been blowing with el nino hanging around. Be glad when it is over. Makes everyone irritable when they cannot get outside. Arghhh. My cacti are really blooming tho, yellow, red, white. I love them.

Guess this is enough for this time. Need to mark some more little squares on my material so I can get started with the cross stitches.LOL Hope everyone is have a great week..stitching and just ordinary life. Till next time...

THESE ARE A COUPLE OF THE PICTURES OF MY 72ND BIRTHDAY CAKE AND TAKEN IN THE CLUB HOUSE. I STILL GOT IT...BLEW OUT ALL THEM CANDLES. LOL THE LADY ON THE LEFT SITTING WAS 80 ON TAX DAY AND SHE IS STILL GOING AND MY NEIGHBOR HERE IN THE PARK. SHE HAS A CLASS C AND SHE FINALLY GOT OFF THE ROAD. SHE SAID IT WAS TIME TO PARK IT. SO CUTE......HOPE I CAN BE FEISTY AS SHE IS. DON IS SHOWING HIS EMPTY PLATE..REST OF US WAS EATING AND HE HAD NOT FILLED HIS PLATE YET.

Newest Great Granddaughter

Well I have another great granddaughter born April 7, 2010 and weighed in at 8lbs 7 ounces. Big girl...so Granny got busy and knit knit knit some boottees, and a couple a blocks she can throw without getting in trouble..will cross stitch her birth announcement. Had so much fun knitting those boottees even made a small pair for her first dolly. I believe that is her daddys hand checking her out. Does that not look like fun.????

I just had another birthday too so I really do feel old now. Had a great day..They had a little party for me last night here at the park. It was nice and had a turtle ice cream cake from Walmart that was to die for. It had caramel, chocolate and vanilla ice cream. OHhhhhh.

Well I must get back to my stitching again... and quit playing with the cute little baby things. I mailed the package to Oklahoma today. I had already sent three little one piece outfits....My stitching sure has been on the back burner but with the basketball playoffs on I will get to stitch in the evenings.....come one SUNS..

Nothing else going in my life at this point just busy busy busy. Will try and get back a little more often than I have been. Later.....
